Talented Europe presentation at La Laguna University

Charla 1

Last Thursday, 14th December, within the Info Week organized by the Vice President Office for Internationalization of La Laguna University, different informative lectures were given to students on mobility and Erasmus for the coming 2018/19 academic year. Regarding these talks, the presentation of the Talented Europe project (platform for young- people employment), took place in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Journalism. This presentation was made by one of the project coordinators, Héctor Barrios, Computer Department professor in CIFP César Manrique.

Talented Europe has as main objectives to facilitate and promote the incorporation into the labour market of talented young Europeans and offer companies the opportunity to integrate these young people into their projects and business plans. Hector explained how it works and the possibility of registering them in both web support and apps, which are already available for mobile devices. Talented Europe will allow them to contact talented students from educational institutions across Europe with companies and employers.

This project was born in 2015 and was presented as an Erasmus+ KA203 project (Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education) together with several European partners. It is coordinated by professors from CIFP César Manrique Information Technology( IT) Department,  in collaboration with the teaching staff from Telesforo Bravo and Puerto de la Cruz high schools. It was selected in its announcement by the SEPIE (Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education) and is the only approved project coordinated by a vocational training center in Spain.

Talented Europe Referees Auto-Registration

Do you know recent graduates who are looking for a job and are interested in being part of Talented Europe platform?  Do you want to be their referee?

Talented Europe offers a showcase with a ranking of the best students in Europe. A simple idea which joins employers and students. The meeting point of excellence.

In Talented Europe web platform, a referee is an academic figure in charge of assessing whether or not a certain student, who is registered on the Talented Europe platform, is talented.

As referee you can see the student’s whole profile and you could to check his/her personal skills, professional skills, studies, etc.

After checking the information, you would have the option to mark the student as Refereed or Not Refereed, or in other words as talented or not talented.

At this moment you can promote the employability of young Europeans, being part of the referees group of Talented Europe application. You only have to use the new functionality which will allow you  to register automatically into the platform.

Now the process of being a referee is really simple.
