Talented Europe 5 seconds UX test

Results for 5 seconds UX test for Talented Europe

In order to know if we get to show the idea of the project Talented Europe with the web design created for the landing page we create some days ago two usability 5 seconds tests using the online tool offer by UsabilityHub.

We would like to show in this post the results for 5 seconds UX (user experience) tests done.

First test UX

Test instructions given for testers:

We would like to know your first impression about the design of our Website. We are going to show you a picture of the homepage for 5 seconds, then you just need to answer 3 question. It’s really easy and fast. Many thanks for your support!

After show the following screen capture of the landing page for five seconds:

Testers read the following three questions:

  1. Do you like the design of the website?
  2. What was the most prominent element on the page?
  3. What do you think this page was about?

Participants for these test are from different countries like: Spain, Slovakia, France, United Kingdom, Croatia, Italy, Belgium, Romania, Greece, Martinique, Ireland, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Poland or Russian Federation.

We heve got 148 responses with an avarage duration of 78,7 seconds doing the test. Results 5 seconds UX test

We show the Word clouds got from the answers given to the three questions:

  • What was the most prominent element on the page?

We could conclude that people like the implemented design for the web of Talented Europe. However, analysing the last two questions we were not really sure about if the web design provided to the user get show the idea of the project.

The main reason for this is that the picture used for the test was got from a tablet device. The background of the website is a video created for this project. Due to this, we decided to establish a different background image for tablet and mobile devices and doing a second 5 seconds UX test.

This time, the image showed to testers is the following one:

As results of this test, we showed that the answers given by testers for the question “What do you think this page was about?” got the Word cloud results as:

So we could conclude that with this new background image used with the second UX test, the impression for users match with the idea of the Project.
